Los Angeles Dodgers: OOH & Logos

Professional Statement: In anticipation of the 2016 MLB season, I was engaged in crafting a comprehensive branding strategy for the new season of Dodgers baseball, encompassing billboards and logo designs. Concurrently, during Spring training games, I dedicated efforts to creating distinctive logos for key athletes and personalities within the Dodgers organization.

Challenges Addressed: The primary challenge was to conceive billboards that effectively promoted the imminent season through compelling photography and copy tailored to the Dodgers’ brand. Drawing inspiration from the United States Postal Service (USPS), I sought to integrate common postal terms into the context of the Dodgers, ensuring a seamless and resonant connection.

Goals: The overarching goal was to instill enthusiasm within the Los Angeles community for the commencement of the new baseball season, with a specific emphasis on driving attendance to home games.

Innovative Approach: A unique and effective solution emerged by intertwining iconic Dodgers imagery with quintessential symbols of Los Angeles, notably palm trees. Leveraging the USPS direction, the design approach ensured a quick and impactful read, seamlessly blending sport and copy to compellingly promote the Dodgers and evoke a sense of hometown pride.
